Health insurance information is now available on the Health Service website! Click on that link to be taken directly to the page which allows you to “Waive Plan” or “Purchase Plan.”
All Gustavus students are required to carry health insurance. All full-time students are automatically enrolled into a comprehensive health insurance plan. In order to decline coverage, students must complete an online waiver verifying other health insurance coverage. The waiver will be available online from June 1st – September 4th, 2015. Detailed primary insurance information is needed to complete the waiver.
The Gustavus student health insurance program is administered through Student Assurance Services and part of the First Health Network. The plan is effective August 1st, 2015 – July 31st, 2016. It is a very competitive plan with a $250 deductible and $2500 out of pocket maximum (for in network providers). The annual premium is $1699. Please note that the Health Service is generally closed over the summer. A staff member will be available to answer questions on Wednesdays from 9am-12pm.
