Housing Selection Posted on April 1st, 2005 by

The Residential Life Office modified the upper-class assignment system to better address student concerns and to be more convenient for students. Selection now is online. Even though selection has happened for some rooms on campus, the majority of students will take part in double housing selection April 25-29. The fairness of the system is often clouded by “I didn’t get the type of housing I wanted.” The online housing selection process implemented this year provides a high level of fairness based on a computer generated, randomly assigned housing priority number within the adjusted year in residence. For example, a junior student would have a higher priority number than a first-year, but within the junior class numbers are randomly assigned. For more information go to Housing Selection.
