Living Off-Campus Posted on November 1st, 2005 by

Each year around 400 students are granted permission to live off-campus, with the remaining 2,050 students residing in college-owned residence halls, apartments, or houses. Students MUST receive permission from the Residential Life Office to live off-campus, which is granted based on the student’s housing priority number. Students should NOT sign a lease until they have been granted permission to live off-campus. A signed lease does NOT guarantee off-campus housing, and students will be responsible for paying rent, sub-letting, or breaking the lease if they are not allowed off-campus. Many students also do not understand all the expenses involved with living off-campus besides rent, including utilities and food. For more information on the housing selection process go to Housing Selection.
