Academic Calendar

The academic calendar for the year is available at Academic Calendar. This list dates of mid-term tests, finals, and college breaks. Please schedule travel home for breaks either after all tests are to be complete or after your student knows their test schedule or discusses their travel plans with their professors.

Carpet in the Residence Halls

ONLY jute backed carpeting is permitted. No carpet pad or rubber-backed carpet is permitted. Carpet salespeople may claim that a rubber-like backing meets the codes. It probably does meet codes for private homes, but Gustavus must meet more stringent codes set for commercial 24-hour residences. For room sizes, to go Room Dimensions.

2006-07 Student Parking Permit Information

Students who wish to park a vehicle on campus must obtain a student parking permit by registering their motor vehicle with the Department of Safety & Security. New Student Immersion Program

Twenty-one new students will have the opportunity to participate in an immersion experience led by Gustavus faculty and staff from Aug. 24-31. The Boundary Waters Immersion is a unique leadership program that offers opportunities for canoeing and camping through the Boundary Waters while connecting with faculty/staff facilitators and other new students.
