“Going Greek”

The New Member Education period for the Gustavus Greek system occurs in September and October. There are four fraternities and three sororities on campus, three of which are national affiliates. The Greek tradition at Gustavus dates back more than 100 years. Students and advisers have worked hard during this past year to develop the New Member Education period and activities to offer experiences that are rewarding and responsible for all participants. Only students with at least sophomore status and who meet a minimum cumulative grade point average requirement of 2.5 are eligible to join Greek organizations. Each year, the Greek community is active in planning educational opportunities, socials, and community service projects for their members and the campus.
