Symphony Orchestra Blog of China

The 67-member Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Warren Friesen, just completed a 15-day international concert tour of China. This is a return trip to China for the Symphony Orchestra that also traveled there in 2004. The ensemble performed five concerts and visited popular attractions that hold cultural and educational value. The experience was recorded in a blog at China Tour. The tradition of concert touring by the music ensembles at Gustavus was established as early as 1878 for the musical, artistic, and educational benefit of the student members.
