Hurricane Katrina Teach-in and Charity Event

On Sept. 16, a teach-in was held at Gustavus to address some of the questions and concerns that arose in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Professors from geology, geography, religion, political science, communication studies, biology, philosophy, environmental studies, and history provided insight on many issues. The audio from the teach-in is now available online at Katrina Teach-in. On Thursday, October 13 the Community Service Center, Athletic Department and Howard Pulley are sponsoring Hurricane Hoops Charity Event to benefit Concordia Parish in Louisiana. The Gustavus varsity basketball team will take on a team comprised of Gustavus faculty, alumni and NBA and European League players.
