Annual Security Report

In accordance with The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Higher Education Opportunity Act, Gustavus provides information and statistics to the College community. The annual security compliance document is available online at: gustavus.edu/safetyreport.

The report (released each fall for the previous calendar year) contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, fire safety, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, Campus Safety officers’ authority, and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. It also contains statistics about reported crimes for the three previous calendar years that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Gustavus Adolphus College; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

We encourage you to take the time to review the updated Campus Security and Fire Safety report as it gives some statistical insight into the environment on campus. While Gustavus remains a place that provides a safe environment for students to live and learn, we hope you will continue to encourage your Gusties to use common sense (and to closely follow any and all advice provided by the college about safety-related issues) to help keep them safe.

Please contact the Dean of Students office at 507-933-7526 or Campus Safety at 507-933-8888 with questions or concerns about the report.
