Despite media reports that flu vaccine is plentiful this year, Gustavus Health Service has not received information indicating they will receive any vaccine this year. Therefore, they recommend that if your student has a high risk medical condition (diabetes, certain heart conditions, kidney disease, immune deficiency, asthma requiring daily medication, or other respiratory conditions), or you wish your student to be vaccinated against the influenza virus, that you make arrangements for them to receive this immunization off-campus. This could be done at their home medical clinic or they could contact Gustavus Health Service to help arrange this locally.
