It was 95 degrees, yet it didn’t stop the festive mood of Commencement when 596 students graduated. This is the third largest class in Gustavus history, behind 2002 with 609 graduates and 1991 with 597 graduates. Paul Saulnier, associate professor of physics, won the Edgar Carlson Award for Distinguished Teaching. Other faculty awards announced this spring at Honors Day include Mark Kruger, professor of psychology, receiving the Faculty Scholarship Award and Alisa Rosenthal, assistant professor of political science, receiving the student selected Swenson/Bunn Teaching Award.
