Living Off-Campus Posted on December 1st, 2007 by

Each year around 400 students are granted permission to live off campus, with the remaining 2,050 students residing in college-owned residence halls, apartments, or houses. Students MUST receive permission from the Residential Life Office to live off campus, which is granted based on the student’s housing priority number. Students should NOT sign a lease until they have been granted permission to live off campus. A signed lease does NOT guarantee off-campus housing, and students will be responsible for paying rent, sub-letting, or breaking the lease if they are not allowed off campus. Many students also do not understand all the expenses involved with living off campus besides rent, including utilities and food. For more information on the housing selection process go to Housing Selection.
