Inspiration for Hotel Rwanda to Speak at Gustavus Posted on January 1st, 2008 by

“Building Bridges” is a student-initiated and student-led conference dedicated to addressing the pressing social and global issues of today. The 13th annual conference on March 8, 2008, will focus on “Genocide Awareness: How will history judge us?” Paul Rusesabagina, whose life story was the basis of critically acclaimed movie Hotel Rwanda, will speak at this year’s conference. There will be action step workshops, a workshop addressing the issue of Native American genocide, and a large-scale food packaging center in Alumni Hall.
