Heather Dale, Gustavus’ Director of Health Service, sent the following message to students earlier today:
We conducted a seasonal flu clinic for students earlier this month, and many of you took advantage of this service. However, due to the demand on manufacturers for other influenza vaccines, Health Service will *not* be receiving any more *seasonal flu vaccine*. Health Service has approximately 30 doses remaining that will be given on a first come, first serve basis. Students are encouraged to look for available seasonal flu vaccine at clinics and pharmacies. Fall break would be a great time to do this!
Health Service *does anticipate* receiving the *H1N1 vaccine* for students. More details will follow as the H1N1 vaccine is distributed throughout Minnesota.
