  1. Julie Lannon says:

If our other children come for move in day, can they attend dinner or is this for parents only?

  2. Megan B. Ruble says:

This is a great question. Siblings, aunt, uncles, grandparents, etc. are all welcome to attend the dinner! We had everyone from 8 to 78 there last year. Just don’t forget to get tickets for everyone in advance. Note that tickets are not refundable so if you buy for relatives “just in case” and they don’t come, you would be out those ticket costs.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the 29th!

  3. Lea Raduenz says:

Any ideas on what Football parents should do? If they are moving the week before this, do we come down for both weekends? Thanks

    • Megan B. Ruble says:

This is great question, and one that is shared by the parents of many “early arrival” students. It’s really an individual choice. Some parents come back to be a part of the excitement and ceremony of the formal move-in day, and others, due to schedules or distance or other reasons, do not. Certain teams and groups are not able to get in to their permanent housing space when they come early, so they bring a limited amount of items and then family comes down later to bring the rest of the stuff. Make sure you find out from your student’s coach or leader what their housing situation will be when they report early.
