The pledge period for the Gustavus Greek system occurs in September and October. There are eight fraternities and six sororities on campus, four of which are national affiliates. The Greek tradition at Gustavus dates back more than 100 years. Students and advisers have worked hard during this past year to develop the pledge period and activities to offer experiences that are rewarding and responsible for all participants. Only students with at least sophomore status and who meet a minimum grade point average requirement are eligible to pledge. The Greeks each year are active in planning educational, social, and community service projects for their members and the campus.
