This spring has brought a flurry of national recognition for Gustavus students. Aaron Flohrs ’05 was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research for one year in Switzerland on the World Trade Organization. Gina Quiram ’06 was awarded a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship for her studies in biology. Kyle Marti ’07 was selected the 2005 Minnesota Army National Guard Soldier of the Year. Amanda Parker, a senior gymnast, has been selected as one of 58 student-athletes from across the country participation in winter sports to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship of $7,500. And Kimberly Assad ’05 earned the Donald G. Paterson Award as the top graduating psychology major among Minnesota’s colleges and universities on the basis of the presentation of her research at the Minnesota Undergraduate Psychology Conference.
