The African notion of “Ubuntu” affirms that a person is a person through other people, or “I am because we are”. To proclaim “Ubuntu, Jesu” links the nativity narrative to all of life, with the “Cradle of Humankind” as both the birthplace of humanity in Africa and the manger of Jesus in Bethlehem. Christmas in Christ Chapel 2016, “Ubuntu, Jesu: From the Cradle of Humankind to the Ends of the Earth”, will celebrate unity by connecting the incarnation of Christ with the creation of humankind in Africa.
Tickets for the Christmas in Christ Chapel service ($30) and for the traditional Christmas Buffet ($25) will be available starting August 1, 2016. You may also reserve tickets online at gustavustickets.com or by phone (507-933-7520). Credit card payment is required for phone and online orders. Tickets are non-refundable.
