Carpet in the Residence Halls

ONLY jute backed carpeting is permitted. No carpet pad or rubber-backed carpet is permitted. Carpet salespeople may claim that a rubber-like backing meets the codes. It probably does meet codes for private homes, but Gustavus must meet more stringent codes set for commercial 24-hour residences. For room sizes, to go Room Dimensions.
