Gustavus will again have a booth at the Minnesota State Fair in the Education Building. The booth will have friendly faces, information, and those popular Gustie Grams to send a note to someone on campus. The Fair runs August 26 — September 4.

Twenty-one new students will have the opportunity to participate in an immersion experience led by Gustavus faculty and staff from Aug. 24-31. The Boundary Waters Immersion is a unique leadership program that offers opportunities for canoeing and camping through the Boundary Waters while connecting with faculty/staff facilitators and other new students.

Students who wish to park a vehicle on campus must obtain a student parking permit by registering their motor vehicle with the Department of Safety & Security. ONLY jute backed carpeting is permitted. No carpet pad or rubber-backed carpet is permitted. Carpet salespeople may claim that a rubber-like backing meets the codes. In the past, students either paid cash or billed their college accounts for charges incurred during visits to the Health Service, and we provided them with fee statements to submit to their own health insurance companies.
