Celebrate Studying? Posted on December 1st, 2004 by

Each semester on the eve of final exams, about 1,000 students take a break from studying for free food and socializing in the Evelyn Young Dining Room. The tradition is called “Midnight Express” and is a time for relaxing and refueling. It started in the 1980s with late night pancakes served by the student affairs staff. It has evolved and now includes nachos, buffalo wings, fruits, and more, with music by the Gustavus Jazz Lab Band.
