Each December since 1998 a Christmas tree filled with ornaments of gift requests from local children in need has appeared in the Campus Center. Each ornament contains the age, gender, and wish for one of about 150 children and is taken by a Gustavus student or employee and then returned with a gift. This Angel Tree project is coordinated by the Peer Assistants to provide Christmas gifts for children in the St. Peter area from low income families. The gifts are collected and distributed before the end of the semester.
