Garden Tour Posted on June 1st, 2005 by

June seems to be the perfect month to visit gardens! The Friends of Linnaeus Arboretum at Gustavus will host a Summer Urban Garden Tour with naturalist Jim Gilbert to three south Minneapolis sites on Saturday, June 25, 2005. The tour (1:00 —5:00 p.m.) begins at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden with rosarian Tim Rosener, then on to Tangletown Gardens for a special “container gardening” seminar, and from there it’s a short walk to the home of Byron Hanson for High Tea and a view of his urban plantings and gardens. The cost of the tour is $17.00, and information about transportation, the day’s complete itinerary and detailed maps are available by calling the Office of Special Events at 507/933-7520.
