The Flowers Are a Blooming Posted on July 1st, 2006 by

July is an ideal month to visit gardens, so the Friends of Linnaeus Arboretum at Gustavus will host an Urban Garden Tour to four south Minneapolis sites on Saturday, July 15. The driving tour (10 a.m.—2 p.m.) begins at the Normandale Japanese Garden with guide Bunnie Aaze, then on to the Elizabeth Hamilton, Ted Bair, and Harvey Filister residences. A light buffet will be served at the fourth site, the home of Byron Hanson ’75, where there is urban plantings, water structures, and gardens. The cost of the tour is $25 per person, which includes refreshments, commentaries, the buffet, and a special gift from Tangletown Gardens. Contact the Office of College Relations at 507/933-7520 for more information.
