Gustavus Choir Tour

Posted on January 7th, 2011 by

The Gustavus Choir will embark on a tour of Italy this month. The 57 student musicians, under the direction of Greg Aune, will travel to and sing at various locations in Italy Jan. 13-28. As is the case with each Gustavus international music tour, it includes an educational component. The students are learning about the Italian Renaissance in the month-long Cultures of Creativity course taught by Chaplain Brian Johnson ‘80. Joining the Gustavus Choir will be a companion tour of 15 Gustavus alumni, parents, and friends. To follow the group’s adventures, visit www.gustavus.edu/go/musictours.

We heard your choir at Santa Maria Trastevere Jan 17th in Rome 2011.
What a wonderful experience for us. Your beautifully orchestrated voices
woven into such rich sounds resonated deep within us and made us cry tears of joy.
I was looking for a recording on itunes of your beautiful singing so I could treasure it.
Let me know if you have any recordings,
I’d love to purchase for fond memory of our month in Rome.
