Off-Campus Living Permission Posted on February 19th, 2018 by

Gustavus Adolphus College is a residential institution. This means ALL students are required to live on-campus all four years. Students MUST receive permission from the Residential Life Office to live off-campus, which is granted based on seniority. Based on projected enrollment numbers, there will very likely be no off-campus permissions granted for 2018-2019. Students may certainly apply and remain on a wait list, but should NOT count on off-campus permission as their only housing option for next year.

Students should know that no students who applied through our general application process were granted permission for 2017-2018, and only students who met automatic qualifying criteria were permitted to live off campus for 2017-2018.

Answers to many frequently asked questions about off campus housing, including a list of automatic qualifying criteria, are available on the Residential Life website.
